Workshop Overview

Tech Ed P4 TPD Workshop: August 2026

Workshop Overview

One day, four sessions, five lesson teams.

Schedule: AM session 9:30–12:30, lunch 12:30–1:45, PM session 1:45–4:45, with a 10-minute break inside each block.

The workshop focuses on Tech Ed P4 Lessons 7–12, the GenAI arc. Teachers experience the active-learning strategies as learners, find those strategies inside their own lesson, upgrade its weakest formative check, and argue the big questions in a whole-room debate. Every star climbs the Ladder.

The five lesson teams

On arrival, every teacher receives a name tag with one of five coloured stickers. The colour is their team and table for the whole day, and each team owns one lesson unit:

Lesson 12, Responsible Use in the Classroom

Class rules, red-blue debate, alignment

Team colours avoid red and blue on purpose: those are the two SIDES of Session 4's Big Debate.

Lesson materials are not printed. Teams open the Tech Ed P4 lessons Drive folder on the table devices (link on the workshop website).

The Ladder

The Leaderboard is a climbing ladder on Zone D: a 30-rung printed poster (Print folder, A2) with five colour lanes.

All teams start together at Base Camp (rung 0). Every star earned moves their climber up one rung, immediately and publicly.

Milestone ledges are named after the day's activities: 🕹️ Guess-the-Prompt Point (5), 🔍 Strategy Hunt Ridge (10), 🛠️ Hackathon Heights (15), 🎡 Carousel Curve (20), ⚔️ Red-Blue Ridge (25), 🏆 The Summit (30). The winning team is crowned at 4:45.

Full design and the complete points system: Leaderboard, The Ladder & Points Guide (this folder).
